This section is to notify all who are interested in the news happening in our district.
ELPI
Congratulations are in order due to our district having 76.4% of English Learners making their expected progress on the ELPI or the English Learner Progress Indicator.
Late Start
The district sent home two flyers about late start. A lot of districts are rethinking starting times for middle and high school students. This is mostly due to research that shows adolescents do not get enough sleep. a survey went out during the week of May 21 - 25 Check out sbcusd.com/start for more information.
SBCUSD's Community Engagement Plan
Below are the links to the English and Spanish versions of the Engagement Plan. The Community Engagement Plan is aimed at improving communication between the school district and the neighboring businesses and schools. This will help students to become better members of society and for society to recognize student efforts.
